Maqhawe Nxumalo, news editor at Swaziland’s only independently-owned newspaper Times of Swaziland, has been fired.

Rival daily newspaper, Swazi Observer, reported yesterday: “Nxumalo, who was serving suspension for about two months, was fired after being found guilty of breaching company policy.”
The Swazi Observer also reports on some of the reasons for the sacking.
“Some of the charges that has been levelled against Nxumalo included allegedly absenting himself from work without notice and also insulting a colleague in on of the departments.”
